What is classification and working principle of liquid packaging machines?

2025-05-20

In daily life, we can see many packaged liquids, such as chili oil, cooking oil, fruit juice, etc., which are very convenient for our use. Today, with the rapid development of automation technology, most of these liquid packaging methods have adopted automatic packaging technology. Now let's talk about the classification of liquid packaging machines and their working principles.

According to the filling principle, they can be classified into atmospheric pressure filling machines, pressure filling machines and vacuum filling machines.

Atmospheric pressure filling machines fill liquids by their own weight under atmospheric pressure. This type of filling machine is further divided into timed filling and volume-based filling. It is only suitable for filling low-viscosity liquids without gas, such as milk and wine.

Pressure filling machines fill under pressure higher than atmospheric pressure and can be divided into two types: one is that the pressure in the storage cylinder is equal to that in the bottle, and the liquid flows into the bottle by its own weight for filling, which is called isobaric filling. Another type is that the pressure in the storage cylinder is higher than that in the bottle, and the liquid flows into the bottle by pressure difference. This method is mostly adopted in high-speed production lines. Pressure filling machines are suitable for filling liquids containing gas, such as beer, soda, champagne, etc.

Vacuum filling machines perform filling when the pressure inside the bottle is lower than the atmospheric pressure. Liquid packaging machines refer to packaging equipment for liquid products, such as beverage filling machines, dairy filling machines, viscous liquid food packaging machines, liquid cleaning product and personal care product packaging machines, etc., all fall within the category of liquid packaging machines.

Due to the rich variety of liquid products, there are also many types and forms of liquid product packaging machines. Among them, liquid packaging machines used for packaging liquid food have higher technical requirements. Sterility and hygiene are the basic requirements for liquid food packaging machines.
